Unlike other lasers that only penetrate the outer layer of skin (epidermis), the HALO is a fractional laser using both ablative and non-ablative wavelengths to go deeper to optimize results.

The HALO procedure requires a topical anesthetic and is performed as an outpatient treatment. Depending on the number and size of areas to be treated, your treatment may take one or two hours to complete. If you had aggressive HALO sessions, it might take five to seven days and up to two weeks for other areas to properly heal. As your skin regenerates, it will expose beautiful, softer, and more youthful-looking skin in five to seven days. The treated skin will begin to peel or flake, and you may have some itching during this time.
There will be even more continued improvement over time, with results lasting six months to a year.
